  1. Each person names one assignment from a course they currently teach
  2. As a group, pick one assignment to redesign
  3. Use the template below to sketch how you would integrate AI using one of the three patterns
  4. Be ready to share: What is the assignment? Which pattern? What would students learn that they are not learning now?

The Three Patterns (Quick Reference)

Pattern Core Idea Key Move
1: AI as a Flawed First Draft Students use AI to generate output, then critically appraise it The appraisal is the assignment, not the AI output
2: Process Documentation Students log every prompt, revision, and decision Grade the thinking process, not just the product
